ABOUT US - Fortress U&T and ZK‑Crypt Design Group:

The history of the ZK-Crypt Design Group can be traced back to the 1980's and 90's, when the original Fortress U&T Design Group supplied innovative Public Key Encryption technologies (e.g. RSA & Elliptic Curve) to many silicon vendors, including Samsung and ST Micro.  It was these innovative technologies that Fortress GB first exploited with their smart card technologies for transportation, crowd control and universities.

When Fortress U&T was purchased by M-Systems/Sandisk, many engineers and technicians joined their colleagues in Fortress GB and brought with them the idea for an architecture for future long lasting symmetric ciphering and data authentication.  Following many years of development, the result is the ZK‑Crypt family of functions for best of breed True Random Generation, Stream Ciphers and Data Authenticators.

The inventors devised the Dual Track Orthogonal Feedback ZK‑Crypt to be a multi-permutation, high diffusion, compact engine, ready to fend off the next generations of super and quantum computers.
