Access Pod joins the Fortress Product Portfolio

Fortress GB is proud to introduce the brand new Access Pod as the latest addition to its vast product range. Its unique profile has been designed to cater to all environments in a non-intrusive and complementary manner. Perfectly suited for use in Stadiums, arenas, theme parks, and car parks, the access pod will manifest itself as a replacement or as an addition to existent turnstiles or barriers.
Acting as stand alone self-contained products, each access pod houses both state of the art Fortress TR-140 Tri reader, and the Fortress access control box. Once supplied with a single power point and network connection, the Access pods will be fully compliant with the Fortress Server and full functionality of all Fortress Smart Stadium Management Server features will become available.
The distinctive nature of each pod is exacerbated by its ability to function in both online and offline modes. That is to say, network capabilities, whilst allowing the real time transfer of data, are not essential. Offline functionality is enabled and especially potent in open air venues where data points are inaccessible or inoperable.
Designed in an ergonomic fashion and constructed using rugged, robust and durable components, each unit is wholly resistant to the elements, ensuring smooth operation during event days regardless of the weather. Equipped with the flagship Fortress Reader, the pods will be able to process: RFID smartcards, RF enabled paper tickets, Paper Barcode and Print@Home tickets. Catering for the future, NFC mobile technology is also supported by the TR-140 readers.
Already operating in over 75 stadiums and having distributed over 5.5 million RFID cards, Fortress remains a constant innovator of Smart technology. With a far reaching product portfolio, the new access pod comes as a welcome addition to the Fortress Range.
