Fortress GB provides a “national” ticketing and access solution in Greece

Fortress GB and Space Hellas, one of the leading system integrators in Greece, have been selected by the Greek Ministry of Sport as the supplier of a centralised ticketing, fan card and access solution to all the leading stadiums in Greece. The ticketing and access solution is part of the on going efforts of the Greek Government and Sporting Authorities to stamp out the plague of hooliganism in Greek Sports.
The project involves the upgrading of infrastructure in the Stadiums and the introduction of professional ticketing and access technology and working practices through-out an initial 24 stadiums. The project went live as of this season and the national infrastructure is in place.
Completion of the large scale project is expected within the next year, and covers 24 local stadiums used mainly as venues for soccer, basketball and handball sports events. For this project Fortress GB selected IRIS plc as its key ticketing partner. IRIS plc’s Talent Software for Sports Ticketing solution is fully integrated with the Fortress Smart Stadium Solution, to deliver a seamless solution for ticketing, fan card and stadium access on a national level.
Renowned for its capacity to increase stadium security, develop stadium revenues and provide the ultimate stadium experience for fans, Fortress GB’s SMART STADIUM solution incorporates a bundle of revenue generation tools that can be implemented either simultaneously or over a period of time. These include Access Control, Membership, eMoney and Loyalty scheme, among others.
The combined knowledge and track record of Fortress GB and Space Hellas in supplying integrated solutions into major sport and event venues, and the inherent robustness of the software package will provide a very strong solution to the local Stadiums.
